Focus on Microbiology Education (FOME)
ISSN 1542 - 9210

There is currently a moratorium on FOME article submissions.
 
In the future, feature articles and other sections of FOME will be published in the newly expanded JMBE.
 
Expanded Scope for Journal of Microbiology & Biology Education (JMBE)
 
 
JMBE will continue to accept research articles for a Research Section (please review existing submission and review criteria below). Content previously hosted at MicrobeLibrary.org will be folded into the journal:
 
-Perspectives Section: Focus on Microbiology Education Feature Articles
-Curriculum Section: MicrobeLibrary Curriculum Collection Resources
-Departments Section: Focus on Microbiology Education "Tips and Tools" articles, Web Watch, Journal Watch, Reviews and News

Goal
Established in 1995, the quarterly publication Focus on Microbiology Education (FOME) features technical, yet practical and feasible advice, for improving teaching and learning in the microbiological sciences and promotes communication among undergraduate educators. Articles include incorporating microbiology in the nursing curriculum, developing an assessment plan, implementing the ASM core curriculum in a microbiology majors' program, and managing student research. 

Current Inventory
As of May 2009, there are 320 FOME articles in the MicrobeLibrary.
